Title I of the Consolidated Law on Safety at Work (Legislative Decree 81/2008) legislates defining the employer's obligations regarding the assessment of all risks and the programming of safety measures capable of preventing the occurrence of dangerous events and protecting by minimizing the effects.
The DVR, Risk Assessment Document, is the document that contains the analysis of the risks of processes, equipment, chemical agents used in a given process, with the aim of preparing prevention and protection measures based on the magnitude of these risks.
Regardless of the legislative obligation, risk analysis represents one of the fundamental moments for the management of an organization's Safety area: abandoning the obsolete vision of the DVR as an encyclopedic collection of all the requirements established by the cogence, an effective document is able to provide a whole series of fundamental information that guides the various security “actors”. Training requirements, the need for personal protective equipment but also the preparation of suitable health protocols are more easily
identifiable starting from an appropriate document.
