In the Italian South, Dabster is a technical partner in the design of anaerobic digestion plants dedicated to the production of biogas and biomethane from renewable sources.
Following the study of the layout and structural design by LCFE, we took care of the preliminary design of the plants in more than 20 sites and the executive design of 9 sites already under

construction.

Integrated engineering solutions in the design of anaerobic digestion plants

For each site of size 1 MW we have designed:

  • medium-voltage electrical distribution systems and transformer cabins at the service of production processes and energy generation;
  • industrial photovoltaic systems of about 1 MW of electricity per site, to integrate production from renewable sources;
  • high-efficiency biogas cogeneration, with 400 kW of electrical power and 482 kW of thermal power, to power processes and recover thermal energy;
  • biogas boilers to ensure operational continuity without the use of external fossil sources.
Load analysis and energy balances

Through the study of electrical loads and the evaluation of the energy balances of each site, Dabster has designed efficient and sustainable systems, capable of:

  • optimize energy self-consumption;
  • reduce the withdrawal from the electricity grid;
  • ensure the balance between photovoltaic production, cogeneration and industrial consumption.
Technical analysis: data and plant performance

Each site is designed to meet local energy needs through an integrated production and consumption system, optimized to reduce environmental impact and operating costs.

Main data of the designed plants:

  • Photovoltaic of about 1 MWp per site
  • 400 kW electric and 482 kW thermal cogenerator
  • 200 kW thermal biogas boilers
  • MT/BT cabins and electrical distribution systems dedicated to process loads

The energy analysis showed an annual production of more than 2.9 million kWh, with a percentage of self-consumption greater than 88% for photovoltaic and more than 98% for cogeneration. This approach guarantees efficiency and sustainability, with a monitoring system that allows you to optimize performance in real time.

A project in constant evolution
This biogas and biomethane plant model, already active in 2024, will continue in 2025 with new sites, contributing to the energy transition, the decarbonization of industrial processes and the enhancement of local resources.
