An architectural lighting project designed to enhance a period villa, restoring volumes, proportions and details with a sober, elegant and respectful approach.

The intervention involved the redevelopment and enhancement of the facade of a prestigious historic villa, with the aim of improving its legibility and value in the evening hours without ever altering its architectural identity. Dabster's design approach used light not as a simple decorative element, but as a real tool for interpreting architecture, capable of giving back to the observer the visual hierarchies and the depth of the volumes, inserting the building into its context with harmony and elegance

The customer's request: Balance between valuation and discretion

Operating on a restricted or highly valuable historic building requires absolute sensitivity and design balance. The real technical challenge lies not only in the choice of lighting bodies, but in the ability to avoid overlighting, glare phenomena and excessive or “theatrical” scenographic effects that would distort the work. The customer needed a project capable of ensuring a clear and clean reading of the elevations and architectural details, while requiring a reliable, secure and easy-to-manage infrastructure in the long term

The Dabster solution: Total integration from concept to construction site

To guarantee an impeccable result, the project was based on an integrated methodological approach, which united Dabster's various engineering and management souls in a coordinated manner throughout all phases of the intervention:
Lighting Design & Electrical Design: Our divisions have defined together the lighting concept and technical development. We have calibrated diffuse projections for the main volumes, controlled beams and grazing light for the details, integrating everything with the millimeter sizing of the power lines and power systems to ensure perfect consistency and visual quality.
Control and Home Automation Systems: To make the system versatile and intelligent, we have integrated a system with DALI protocol. This solution allows the dynamic management of light flows, offering the possibility to modulate intensity and adapt visual scenarios according to events, seasons or specific operational needs.

The Results: An elegant and long-lasting nighttime presence

The intervention provided the property with balanced and extremely elegant lighting, which enhances the building without ever dominating it. Thanks to this project:
