Banco Fresco Store

Banco Fresco is a food retail chain specialized in very fresh foods whose format evokes covered markets interpreted in a modern key and whose attention to the environment is particularly high, given that the goal is also to eliminate packaging. For the design of the mechanical and electrical systems of the new store in Garbagnate Milanese, the eighth in Italy and which will host more than 5 thousand references, Banco Fresco has relied on Dabster Engineering, focusing on a structure dedicated to strong energy savings and the use of renewable sources. The sales area covers about 1250 square meters, next to 750 square meters dedicated to laboratories and rooms for the preparation of fresh food, warehouses, cold rooms, offices and service rooms. Relying on renewable sources was the first and necessary starting point to marry the customer's environmental philosophy and therefore the roof was used for the photovoltaic system and generate part of the energy needed mainly by refrigerated cabinets. From the heat of their recovery, through high-efficiency heat pump kettles equipped with exchangers, we obtained free of charge the hot water necessary for processing operations in food processing laboratories. We then planned the installation of heat recovery units for room air treatment and heat pumps with VRV technology. The store opened on April 1, 2023
