Dabster designed the energy upgrading of the “Don Milani” primary school in Sommacampagna, in the province of Verona, allowing the structure to move from energy class D to A1, to drastically reduce the consumption of methane gas for heating and consequently the volume of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere and to reach European environmental standards for schools.
The planned energy upgrading project proposed the construction of the thermal coat to insulate the perimeter walls and floors bordering the external environment through the installation of EPS sintered expanded polystyrene insulation panels, the replacement of existing windows with new PVC windows, the insulation of attics with different types depending on their practicability (insufflation for the impassable and rockwool rolls for the practicable) and the replacement of existing boiler with new condensing boiler
